TS1 Ultrasonic Tank Sender
The BEP TS1 tank sender has been in the market now since October 2007. The unit is working well, however there are two issues we would like to update you on.
Issue 1:
The current nitrile (black) or viton (pink) gasket supplied together with TS1 may cause the TS1 ultrasonic tank sender to work abnormally when TS1 is screwed tightly onto the tank top. Typical symptom is that TS1 always shows the tank being full, even though it may not be. This problem can be checked by removing the screws from TS1 and let it sit loosely on the tank top. The TS1 should now give the correct reading of tank level.
Solution: A new rubberized cork gasket (suitable for petrol, diesel, black water and fresh water tanks) is available from BEP. Please contact BEP immediately for a replacement gasket.
Issue 2:
When using the TS1-PK programming kit to program new tank senders, an error message may display on some TS1 tank senders saying “Failed to connect with the device! Check connection or battery!”. However, the connection and battery are found to be good. This problem occurs to a minor number of TS1 tank senders with firmware version 1.32 and released before 10th April 2008.
Solution : Update the TS1 firmware from version 1.32 to 1.40 Please see link below for download info from our website. Any TS1 purchased after the 15th April will have the version 1.40 software.
